I was born with an everlasting hunger.
I blame my mom for going on Weighless while expecting me. I later found out that I was born with my umbilical cord around my neck, so I was properly under fed. Growing up I never looked at a kiddies menu. I always wanted to eat what my dad was eating. I grew up in the kitchen. Not cooking, but always looking for something to eat. Only later in life I realized that it would probably be easier just to learn how to cook.

Arugula Bistro’s kitchen is situated in the dining room itself. Guests can see exactly what is going on in the kitchen, there is nowhere to hide. We are proud of everything we do in our kitchen.
We kept the interior of the restaurant very clean and simple so there is nothing but the view over the Simonsberg to distract from the food.
We always keep the menu small to ensure that produce if as fresh as possible. We don’t have any large walk in freezers or walk in coolers to store heaps of food. We work hard together with our many suppliers to get fresh produce in every day.
We try to keep the menu interesting. This is not always easy, as our regular guests have grown so fond of many of our dishes that we don’t dare take them off….
